Below Deck fans, let’s talk, because the Season 3 finale of Below Deck Down Under is headed for shore, and we just got our first sneak peek of the finale!
Like I said on the podcast, this has been one of my favorite Below Deck seasons to date. The crew chemistry, the chaos, and shall I say the course corrections? Chef’s kiss. And now, as the final charter winds down, Bravo just dropped a preview! Check it out below.
Let’s start with the moment that’s already gone viral in Below Deck group chats: the beached tender.
Yep, Changing Tides hit again, and this time the challenge is getting the guests back to dry land before the seasickness gets any worse. Captain Jason steps in once again to save the day. Almost like it’s planned.
Honestly, watching the crew recover the tender felt like I was watching an old pirate film in real time. The vibes were that dramatic. But in true Below Deck fashion, this crew is nothing if not quick on their feet and they’ve somehow managed to end the season on a surprisingly upbeat note. It’s been refreshing to see that kind of energy carry into the finale.
Oh, and a quick PSA: this kind of thing isn’t just for TV. If you’ve ever boated in Florida, you’ve definitely seen someone stuck on a sandbar because they didn’t time the tides. It happens to the best of us—myself included. (Fun fact: Adam can tie a knot better than he can type. No shade, just truth.)
🧑✈️ Now let’s talk new crew
Nate Salmon and Nicolas Cattelan came in hot and honestly, Nic has been such a standout. He’s not your typical reality TV yachtie with emotional issues. He’s grounded, charming, smart, and yeah… pretty easy on the eyes. I’m calling it now: Nic’s the kind of Below Deck crew member fans actually root for.
Captain Jason even jokes in the preview, “At least we’ve got something for people to laugh at as they come into anchorage.” And he’s not wrong, when things go wrong in the yachting world, everyone sees. The guests. The crew. Fellow yachties. It can be embarrassing to say the least.

❤️ On the romance radar?
Nic and Marina are heating up! Their chemistry has been building and the finale gives us a little more of that spark. Their social media’s been coy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned into more than just an on-deck flirtation.
As for Alesia? She seems to be warming up to Nic again, even if she’s still got the “ick” from his smoochies comment. Pirate costume or not, some red flags wave louder than others.
🙄 My biggest eye roll?
Offering Malibu and pineapple to the guests when they return from the beach. No offense to anyone, but unless you’re a college freshman or stuck in 2003 (I’m old), that drink is not it. I expected more for a charter that costs more than a yearly salary. Surely, no one requested that… (I hope).
And then there’s Nate, sitting on the “mountain of shame” (aka the tender) until the tide comes back in. But that’s what I love about this guy is he takes the high road and spins it into a laugh. Attitude is everything, especially when your entire job is on display for the cameras.
⏭️ So what’s next?
I’m predicting a strong finish to the charter, but things might take a turn during the night out (as they usually do). And if we do get a reunion? Fingers crossed it’s not one of those awkward Zoom specials where Andy Cohen looks like he skimmed the Wikipedia page beforehand. (Love you, Andy but Housewives are clearly your first love.)
⚓️ Don’t sleep on Below Deck.
It’s one of Bravo’s top-rated shows for a reason, and with the spin-offs and new cast members coming in hot and leaving like main characters on Game of Thrones, it’s worth the watch!
🚨 And don’t forget! Anchor Watch — our LIVE Below Deck recap show — returns June 3rd at 10:30PM ET on YouTube. We’ll be breaking down the premiere of Season 12 of Below Deck, the drama, and maybe even sipping something better than Malibu Pineapple.
