Grab your goat cheese balls and a seat at the bar, because Scheana Shay and Lisa Vanderpump are no longer the tight-knit duo they once were. Honestly? We’re not that surprised.

Scheana, who’s been grappling with her reality TV identity post-Vanderpump Rules, is now popping up on The Valley, trying to focus on a second act while watching her OG show get a major cast reboot. And just when we thought she might ride off quietly into podcast-land, she’s back with something else, a tell-all book.

In the newly released memoir, Scheana promises to reveal her “truth”, which includes some not-so-flattering insights about her former boss and VPR matriarch, Lisa Vanderpump. And while Scheana does acknowledge that Lisa played a huge role in launching her career, she’s not sugarcoating anything. In fact, she’s quoted saying:

“Is Lisa going to be happy with everything I say in the book? Probably not. But it’s my truth.”

Let’s not forget: Scheana was the original scandal that launched Vanderpump Rules. Her messy fling with Brandi Glanville’s then-husband Eddie Cibrian was the segue Bravo needed to cross over from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills into what would become a cultural phenomenon. Lisa may have built the brand, but Scheana helped kick-start the storyline.

And for years, Lisa played mentor, boss, and occasional frenemy. Scheana even used to be close with Lisa’s daughter, Pandora. But now? Things seem frosty.

After this started making headlines, Lisa fired back the way only she can, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on May 2:

“That’s probably just to sell the book because she doesn’t have anything else to say.”

📖 Does Anyone Really Want to Read Reality Star Memoirs?

My question is – do these reality star memoirs actually land? Sure, there’s a market for Bravoleb books, but the harsh truth is, most fans care about the drama when it’s on screen. Once you’re off the air (or appearing as a side character on a struggling spinoff), the spotlight dims fast. The TikTokers and new reality lineups don’t wait for anyone, not even a longtime SURver with a successful podcast.

Will Scheana’s book move units? Probably. Will it make her relevant again? TBD. The Valley isn’t exactly firing in all directions, and it feels like even Lisa Vanderpump is quietly phasing out her early cast in favor of fresher faces.

⏱️ Time to Move On?

It might just be the right moment for Scheana and some of the OGs to embrace the next chapter. That doesn’t mean disappearing, it just means evolving. Writing a book is one thing. Living in the past to keep your name trending? That’s another.

Still, credit where it’s due: Scheana’s hustle is unmatched. From Scandovals to side gigs to parenting and center stage drama, she’s stayed in the Bravo convo longer than most.

But as far as the Lisa-Scheana dynamic? That relationship might be like Vanderpump Rules Season 4—fun while it lasted, but no need to revisit it.
