Up and Adam!

Let’s get into this recap of The Valley Season 2, Episode 8. It was giving everything… and somehow, absolutely nothing at the same time.

🍗 Welcome to the BBQ from Hell (and Yes, Scheana’s Still Serving Enchiladas)

We open at Scheana’s house (again 🙃), where her beloved enchiladas are back for another guest appearance and at this point, they deserve their own confessional. While the vibe tries to be festive, the drama is working harder than the grill.

First off, Zack is feeling iced out by Brittany, and not in a chill way. He’s getting serious “you used to value me” energy, and it’s awkward watching him pour his heart out while Brittany flip-flops harder than Jax’s image in the press. Speaking of…

Brittany is all over the map. One minute she wants Jax to fight for their relationship, the next she’s casually crushing on someone else. Meanwhile, we learn Jax has signed a lease without her, prompting B to move back into the family home and cover the security cameras (yes, really). Then she finds out her wedding rings are missing, and just as she’s telling Jax’s sister about it on the phone, she gets a text from Jax saying:

“Make sure you get that on film. I can hear everything. Childish behavior.”

EXCUSE ME?! Is the house bugged? Are we living in Black Mirror now?

💍 The Great Ring Rumor: Jason vs. Jasmine

Meanwhile, over at what should’ve been a drama-free BBQ (LOL), Jason and Janet are fuming over Jasmine’s alleged comment about Jason not wearing his wedding ring at bars. Jasmine, however, insists she didn’t start that rumor. Jason says she definitely did. Scheana stirs the pot by saying Jasmine didn’t come was because of Janet.

And let’s be real, Jason and Janet basically decide Jasmine is public enemy #1 unless she delivers an apology on a silver platter. Spoiler: she won’t.

💥 Beach Day Blowup: Janet vs. Jasmine

We shift to what could’ve been a peaceful beach chat between Jasmine, Jason, and Janet. Instead, it spirals fast.

Jasmine insists the ring rumor is old news. Jason says he’s heartbroken. Janet looks over it. And then out of nowhere, Jasmine fully unravels with:

“You’re a sh*t ass friend. You’re a vibe killer. You’re exhausting. You give Karen energy.”

I mean… ouch. Jason snaps, storms off, and then circles back to drag Jasmine again in front of the group. This entire beach moment had the energy of a Bravo finale, not a mid-season meetup.

🐍 Jax Taylor: Snake in the Grass (Literally, That’s the Title)

If the ring drama wasn’t enough, we get the cherry on top: Jax’s creepy “I can hear everything” message. Between the hidden cameras, the controlling texts, and Brittany’s spiraling emotions, Jax is giving classic villain vibes. And let’s not forget, he’s texting Janet about group events now, which feels like he’s trying to manage the narrative from behind the scenes.

Someone get this man off the group thread and into therapy.

🧂 Final Thoughts: Who’s Actually Thriving?

Honestly? It’s chaos, but delicious chaos.

Zack is sensitive, and maybe misunderstood.

Jasmine wants her big Bravo moment, but went too hard.

Brittany needs space…and new locks.

Jax… needs to be nowhere near a Nest camera.

The cast chemistry is better without Lala and Sheena hovering in every scene (no shade, but also… shade). Let the new crew mess things up on their own!

The Valley airs every Tuesday night on Bravo!

  1. These are middle-aged people experiencing teenage drama. Seriously, how low can they go??? As for Scheana and Lala…you had your moment. Time to move on.

  2. I stand alone, it seems. I like the show. It may be because it is like VPR, which remains among favorite shows I have watched on Bravo. And Below Deck!!

  3. I don’t think we are enjoying grown ups being mean and petty. It might be okay in your 20’s, but it’s not now. If I have to watch Brittany bad mouth Jax (deserved or not) in front of their child anymore, I’m going to tune out. Totally not okay. Do better.
