The Door is Open! NeNe Leakes is Finally Returning to Bravo.
We have some absolutely massive news coming out of the Bravo universe today, and honestly, it’s the one headline I think we all hoped for but weren’t sure we’d ever see. The “OG of the OC” might have started it all, but the “Queen of ATL” is officially coming home.
That’s right…NeNe Leakes is returning to our screens.
After nearly six years away from The Real Housewives of Atlanta and a very public, very messy legal battle with the network and Andy Cohen, the ice has finally melted. NeNe is set to appear in the upcoming spinoff, tentatively titled The Real Housewives: Ultimate Road Trip.
What We Know About the Atlanta Stop
According to a new report from TMZ, NeNe won’t be part of the “core” cast traveling in the van for the duration of the trip. Instead, the show is expected to stop in Atlanta, where NeNe will make a guest appearance.
While she isn’t “holding a peach” full-time just yet, this is a monumental step. Remember, it was only a few years ago that NeNe sued Bravo and NBCUniversal, alleging a hostile and racist work environment. That lawsuit was eventually dropped in 2022 to be settled in arbitration, and for a long time, it felt like she was permanently “blacklisted.” Clearly, time (and maybe a 20th-anniversary budget) heals all wounds!
A 20-Year Celebration
Andy Cohen first teased this concept back at BravoCon in November, promising a cross-country celebration of two decades of the franchise. During the announcement, Andy shared:
“We will have iconic housewives taking the road trip of a lifetime to the housewives’ cities where they will be joined by iconic housewives, past and present, from the span of two decades. It’s going to rock your world.”
Who Else is Buckling Up?
NeNe isn’t the only heavy hitter joining the fun. We’ve already heard from Vicki Gunvalson herself on The Viall Files that she starts filming this month.
The rumor mill (and the Mary Cosby Fan Page on X) is working overtime, suggesting the traveling cast includes legends like Kyle Richards, Gizelle Bryant, and Teresa Giudice. We’re also hearing names like Kim Zolciak, Luann de Lesseps, and Karen Huger might be popping up along the way.
Can you imagine the chaos of NeNe and Kim Zolciak-Biermann potentially sharing a screen again in 2026? My Bravo heart can barely take it!
What do you think, guys? Is a cameo enough, or do we need NeNe back on RHOA full-time to save the franchise? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
