Scheana Shay unexpectedly canceled at least two book tour appearances in St. Louis and Washington, D.C., citing low attendance. Fans who received cancellation notices admitted they weren’t surprised, some were relieved to get automatic refunds.

With the tour wrapping in Cincinnati and Philadelphia, only one thing is clear: she’s going to need some real crowd-pleasing energy if this tour is going to salvage credibility.
