Bethenny’s St. Barths Nightmare: Medical Emergencies, Personal Loss, and Andy Cohen’s Latest Jab!
You know I love a good vacation story, but what started as a glamorous New Year’s escape to St. Barths for Bethenny Frankel and her daughter, Bryn, has turned into a total “survival of the fittest” situation.
A Scary Situation for Bryn and Bethenny
Imagine you’re in paradise, the sun is shining, and suddenly…you’re dealing with a medical emergency. Bethenny took to social media to show off a pretty alarming rash and red bumps creeping up toward her eye. It wasn’t just a minor breakout, you guys; it was a full-blown bacterial infection.
What’s even crazier is how she says it happened. Bethenny is pointing the finger directly at the hotel linens. She claims that even at high-end resorts, towels and sheets are sitting in bins with heat and leftover food, becoming a total breeding ground for germs. She’s officially sworn off hotel towels forever, telling her followers, “I will never, ever in my life, use a hotel towel or sheet again.”
Bryn actually recognized the symptoms first because she’s dealt with it before, and once they both started showing signs, Bethenny made the executive decision to pack it up and get home.
Heartbreak and “Suffocating” Shade
But wait, there’s more. The physical illness wasn’t the only thing weighing on her. We also learned the devastating news that Bethenny’s longtime friend and makeup artist, Jasen Kaplan, has passed away. Between the infection and the grief, it’s totally understandable why she needed to get back to her home base.
And because it’s the Bravo universe, the drama doesn’t stop at the shoreline. While Bethenny was sharing her journey on TikTok, Andy Cohen was busy co-hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, and he did not hold back.
Andy referred to her as “that Margarita lady” and described her constant social media presence as “suffocating.” I mean, the shade is real, guys! It feels like the tension between these two just keeps ratcheting up, and seeing Andy call her out on a global broadcast? That’s next level.
