Shannon Beador Says RHOC Season 20 Cast Is Still a Mystery as Filming Nears.
If you were hoping The Real Housewives of Orange County season 20 cast was locked and loaded, Shannon Beador says… not so fast.
With production expected to kick off in February, Shannon revealed that most of the women are still in the dark about who’s officially returning. And surprisingly, the only person who seems fully in the loop is Vicki Gunvalson.
Shannon Addresses Casting Rumors
While appearing on Jeff Lewis Live, Shannon was asked directly about rumors swirling that Heather Dubrow may not be back for season 20. Her response was refreshingly honest.
“Not that I know of. I mean, to be honest with you, we haven’t heard yet who’s coming back next season,” Shannon said.
When asked whether the cast usually knows by this point, she explained that the timeline can vary.
“Last year we found out prior to Christmas, but I think there have been some years — we typically film the beginning of February, and there have been some years where we found out right beforehand.”
Translation: Orange County casting chaos is alive and well.
Vicki’s the Only Lock So Far
Fans already know that Vicki Gunvalson is officially returning as a full-time Housewife, a reveal that was announced at BravoCon 2025. Since then, Vicki has also shared that filming begins in February and confirmed she’ll appear on The Real Housewives Ultimate Road Trip, set to air in 2026.
Everyone else? Still waiting by the phone.
Shannon Rings in 2026 With Familiar Faces
Outside of casting uncertainty, Shannon closed out the year on a high note. She celebrated New Year’s Eve with fellow RHOC alums Gretchen Rossi and Jennifer Pedranti and shared photos from the night on social media.
As expected, the photos sparked mixed reactions.
Some fans loved the trio, calling them the “best trio ever,” while others were less enthusiastic. One commenter wrote, “Shannon nooooo,” while another questioned Gretchen’s presence altogether.

Between uncertain casting, Vicki’s triumphant return, and fans already fighting in the comments, RHOC season 20 is shaping up to be messy before cameras even roll.
